I wasn't even sure Vaas was dead, to be honest. I mean, all those "walk the path" sections were clearly drug induced vision quests, when you "fight" Vaas (and later Hoyt) it's like you step into this alternate reality where it's just one-on-one combat, then you wake up and see the carnage you've really done. (Especially with Hoyt's death. The developers themselves stated that they didn't took "cannon" or the connection of the far cry games to seriously. But yeah they said that they approached it with the idea that far cry are in its own universe with some recurring characters and flashbacks. However Vass COULD be alive if they somehow decides that this is the case but i doubt it SPOILER How Vaas survived theory. Far Cry 3 This is my interpretation on how Vaas survived the events of Far Cry 3. In the scene where Jason stabs Vaas, he is stabed once. Then several other times, with the blade going through the chest. I belive this isn't what happened. iTQx.
